Shack didn’t have a signboard until last Sunday. I am not rushing to get rich or famous. Shack is a work in progress project. This January, it will complete a year and a half at the current location.

Not an expert
I was not an expert in roasting coffee or pressing panini. Moreover, I did not have a professional kitchen and equipment. I chose to focus on a tiny menu. My coffee menu is six items and the food menu is four items. Guests asked for more items. Team members thought that Blue Tokai and other cafés had an edge. They have 100+ items on their menu and an army of chefs and cooks. But, they lack one thing. It’s the taste. I could win there.
1000 plus panini
After thousands of coffees and panini from the tiny menu, I am confident about the taste. It’s tasting better, and it will keep getting better. I am also confident about inviting any number of guests, and not letting the quality go down.
You are welcome
There is no better way to invite people than the old school signboard. Mallika Tandon of Bobo Cakery helped me design the signboard. Check out her beautiful designer cakes. Now there is a signboard. Our guests would not have to ask around for our hidden espresso bar.
Thanks so much
Thanks to the guests and coffee lovers, Shack has survived for eighteen months. I will still take it slow. Still, there is no hurry to expand. Our menu does have a couple of new food items on the secret menu.
Heartbeat
One, Tuna Panina. It’s a traditional Italian peasant panino, with olive and capers pesto, lemon juice, canned tuna chunks, olive oil and arugula. If you pair it with a hot latte, the lord will wash away all your sins.
Two, Dark Latte. Winters ask for chocolates. Siri espresso, chocolate and milk are best friends. Try it with a sweet or savoury toast.
Three, Siri Espresso Blend. Home espresso lovers can order our Siri Blend online. I roast on Wednesdays. We ship on Thursday.
